DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AND DIGITAL MEDIA, BALTIMORE CITY MAYOR’S OFFICE OF EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT (MOED)

Keyarah Watson is an Emmy Award-winning media executive. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Management Information Systems from the University of Delaware. Currently, she serves as the Director of Communications and Digital Media at the Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment Development (MOED), where she leads a high-impact media team and oversees the agency’s digital presence.

Keyarah's career began in Technology Consulting, working at KPMG in Philadelphia. In 2019, she transitioned to media, joining Baltimore's ABC News station. Her tenure there saw her cover compelling stories on crime, race, and politics, earning her an Emmy for producing the ABC documentary "When Steel Was Made In Maryland." She was recognized in the Baltimore Business Journal's 40 Under 40 in 2023.

She is passionate about empowering young minds making a positive impact through storytelling. Her mission is to drive the field of media forward inclusively and with purpose.
