HIGH SCHOOL

High School courses are after-school programs offering students ages 14-21 the opportunity for free introductory and advanced media training. Courses are offered in a range of concentrations, including Video, Photography, Animation, Graphic Design, and Acting. Wide Angle programs engage and empower youth through direct learning: creating and sharing meaningful artwork and providing hands-on experience in the arts. Participants learn production, writing, and analytical skills so they can tell powerful stories about the lives of young people in Baltimore. Students produce media campaigns that create positive and tangible change in our city. By putting this important work into the hands of high school students, High School programs empower young people to shape the future of Baltimore. Programming provides career exploration, technology access, college and professional soft skills, and service learning or semester-completion stipends. Videos by our youth producers are screened locally, and shown nationally and internationally through public access channels and film festivals, and on the web.
